We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions on our OFFSHORE DRILLING RIGS:

 

 

BALLAST CONTROL OPERATOR: Requires a valid US Coast Guard Ballast Control Operator's License/Endorsement; experience as a BCO on an offshore drilling rig; must be legally entitled to work in the United States and be able to obtain a passport for worldwide travel as needed.

 

Responsibilities include: Operates ballast control system on a semi-submersible drilling rig to maintain the required stability of the vessel; continually monitors the deck loads so as to maintain the desired list/trim through activation of the proper stability procedures; responsible for performing tasks in a safe, conscientious, and efficient manner under the supervision of the Barge Supervisor.

 

 

DYNAMIC POSITIONING OPERATOR:  (EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES ONLY): USCG Unlimited Deck License and a Nautical Institute DP Operator Certificate required; excellent working knowledge of DP systems and the applications of DP systems during drilling operations; excellent working knowledge of semi-submersible rig operations; detailed knowledge of stability and ballast control operations, both practical and theoretical; good written and oral communication skills; good knowledge of MS Office applications; must be legally entitled to work in the United States and be able to obtain a passport for worldwide travel as needed.

 

Responsibilities include: Operate the DP system to maintain the riser angle within operational limits; maintain the bridge watch; relieve BCO at ballast control desk as needed; monitor environmental conditions and react appropriately; work as directed under the supervision of the of the Chief Mate and OIM.

 

 

OILER:  Requires a current US Coast Guard issued QMED document with an Oiler's Endorsement; must be legally entitled to work in the United States and be able to obtain a passport for worldwide travel as needed.

 

Responsibilities include:  Assist with preventative maintenance and ensure the safe operation of the rig; assist Mechanic when necessary.
