We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions on our OFFSHORE DRILLING RIGS:

 

BARGE SUPERVISOR (EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES ONLY):

Marine license issued by recognized maritime administration preferred, but other licenses will be considered; excellent working knowledge of stability, both practical and theoretical; good working knowledge of ballast control systems and procedures; management or supervisory experience with good written and oral communication skills; strong technical and report writing skills; basic computer skills and a good knowledge of MS Office applications; must be legally entitled to work in the United States and be able to obtain a passport for worldwide travel as needed

 

Responsibilities include: Perform and supervise rig moves in our worldwide fleet; supervise marine and maintenance crews on assigned rig; prepare and maintain rig’s marine-related documents & certificates

 

RIG SUPERINTENDENT: US Coast Guard License as Operations Installation Manager – Unrestricted; Requires experience assigned to an offshore drilling rig

 

Responsibilities include: Responsible for the safe welfare of all company and contract personnel; efficient and productive use of supplies and proper maintenance and repair/upkeep of the rig and support equipment; establish/maintain working relationship with contract personnel and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations

 

TOOLPUSHER: Requires experience assigned to an offshore drilling rig with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Driller preferred

 

Responsibilities include: Assist the Rig Superintendent in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the drilling rig; responsible for the safe welfare of all company and contract personnel; efficient and productive use of supplies and proper maintenance and repair/upkeep of the rig and support equipment; establish/maintain working relationship with contract personnel and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations

 

DRILLER: Requires experience as a Driller on an offshore drilling rig

 

Responsibilities include: Ensure safety and control operations on the drill floor, ensure maintenance of all drilling equipment and housekeeping on drill floor; maintain productivity and ensure attainment of Diamond Offshore/contracting company goals and objectives; supervise and coordinate the activities of the drill crew under close supervision of the Toolpusher

 

ASSISTANT DRILLER: Requires experience as an Assistant Driller on an offshore drilling rig.

 

Responsibilities include: Assisting the Driller in the performance of Driller's duties to include the safe and efficient control of all operations on the drilling floor, thereby, ensuring the safety of the drill crew and all support personnel; supervise and coordinate the activities of the drill crew under close supervision of the Driller.

 

BALLAST CONTROL OPERATOR: Requires a valid US Coast Guard Ballast Control Operator’s License; experience as a BCO on an offshore drilling rig

 

Responsibilities include: Operates ballast control system on a semi-submersible drilling rig to maintain the required stability of the vessel; continually monitors the deck loads so as to maintain the desired list/trim through activation of the proper stability procedures; responsible for performing tasks in a safe, conscientious, and efficient manner under the supervision of the Barge Supervisor

 

RIG ELECTRICIAN: Requires 4+ years industrial electrical experience with offshore electrical experience preferred; experience in 3-phase power generation, AC/DC drives, strong maintenance and troubleshooting, with air conditioning experience considered a plus

 

ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN: Requires 4+ years industrial Electronics Technician experience with offshore Electronics Technician experience preferred; be able to provide training certificate from a recognized technician program, and be knowledgeable in the running of various test equipment; basic knowledge of PLC’s preferred

 


Positions based in the Gulf of Mexico ONLY:


OILER:
Requires a current US Coast Guard issued QMED document with an Oiler’s Endorsement

 

Responsibilities include: Assist with preventative maintenance and ensure the safe operation of the rig; assist Mechanic when necessary

 

 

CORPORATE OFFICE OPPORTUNITIES


We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions in our CORPORATE OFFICE in HOUSTON, TX:

 

ENGINEER III: Requires Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Systems, Ocean, Structural, Industrial, Naval Architecture, or Civil engineering from an accredited university; ability to work independently or as a part of a team; strong oral and written communication skills; self-motivated; strong work ethic; willing to travel domestically, internationally, and offshore as required; flexible, able and willing to undertake a variety of duties; computer literate; able to obtain a passport for required overseas travel; active participation in an engineering or industry society or technical group.

 

Responsibilities include: Entry level engineers will be provided with practical training in function successfully as a project or design engineer in the Technical Services department.  As such, the engineer will spend a specified period of time in each of the groups in Technical Services to gain an understanding of what each group does and how it functions within the department and the Company.

 

SR. PROJECT ENGINEER: Requires Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Ocean, or Marine Systems Engineering; 10+ years engineering experience in the design, planning, construction, and coordination of modifications to MODUs or drilling systems; experience planning, coordinating, and documenting Class & Flag surveys of MODUs; must be able and willing to travel worldwide up to 50% of the time as projects demand, anticipating up to 3 months at a time; strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook; must be legally entitled to work in the United States and be able to obtain a passport for required overseas travel

 

Responsibilities include: Plan, budget, coordinate, and commission modifications and surveys for Diamond’s  fleet of offshore drilling units.
